Against better judgement, I am inclined towards taking part in nationals. It’s hard to quench the insatiable desire when I find myself yearning for the training, the vigor, the flush of excitement. I’m told that the future will be filled with better days; those that give you direction and purpose. There will be other opportunities, just not the one presented in a year where academics should be your primary concern.
As humans, are we so easily misled and tempted by the notion that these things come knocking on our doorstep? That they are not ideals that need to be actively pursued? Likely I am saying this in attempt to substantiate my impulsiveness.
I want to go. Oh God.
ChurchTanks by Kris Kuksi
People like to talk about how important the separation of church and state is, but nobody ever said anything about the separation of church and tanks. Probably an oversight they regret now. Kris’ mixed media constructs combine faith-based architecture with the dominating tread of military might, drawing obvious parallels between the two and paving the way for some badass G.I. Joe future vehicle sets.
